How long can seeds be stored

Usually in the fall, we sort through leftover seeds and buy new ones. And every time, it’s a shame to throw away last year’s seeds—what if they sprout? Of course, as mentioned above, you can easily check their germination rate and decide whether to throw the seeds away or if they’ll still work for this season. But, alas, seeds are sold in such small quantities and are so expensive these days that it makes more sense to conduct such experiments only with seeds you’ve grown yourself. That’s why it’s helpful to know how long seeds of different crops last and what conditions you need to create so they don’t let us down in the spring.
