Toxifos 20 tablets
The insecticidal fumigant Toxiphos is designed to control storage pests by fumigation, for the purpose of disinfecting storage facilities, ship holds, grain elevators, railcars, and vehicles, as well as for treating wheat, barley, peas, corn, beans, meal, sunflower seeds, flax, and oats against storage pests: weevils, grain beetles, flour mites, grain moths, bread beetles, fireflies, flour beetles, flour weevils, grain borers, rats, mice, moles, shrews, voles, and other pests living openly or in hiding, regardless of their stage of development. The active ingredient in this product is aluminum phosphide, which, upon contact with atmospheric air, decomposes into phosphine (PH3) and carbon dioxide (CO2) with traces of ammonia (NH3). The reaction rate depends on the humidity and temperature of the air. The toxic gas released, phosphine, disrupts metabolic processes and blocks the flow of oxygen into the body, causing paralysis of the nervous system and the complete death of the pests.

Specifics of using the Toxifos fumigant:
When fumigating grain in warehouses, ship holds, and elevator silos, the tablets are placed manually or using a dispenser into the grain being conveyed on a conveyor belt. The tablets are distributed throughout the treated area immediately after opening the package. Fumigation is carried out when the air and product temperatures are above +15 °C; the exposure time is 5 days, after which degassing is performed. Complete insect mortality occurs 3–5 days after the start of treatment. Application rate for moles and other rodents: 2 tablets per burrow.
Recommended doses, calculated to affect the resistant stages of insect development:
| Cargo temperature | Fumigation duration (exposure) |
| up to +5 °C |
No fumigation |
| from +5 °C to +10 °C | 10 days |
| from +11 °C to +15 °C | 7 days |
| from +16 °C to +25 °C | 6–5 days |
| above +25 °C | 4 days |
