Uchiki Kuri Pumpkin – a mid-early Japanese variety with high yields and an unusual flavor. The growing season lasts 90–100 days. The plant forms medium-sized vines with abundant fruit set. The fruits are pear-shaped, weighing 1–2 kg, with a firm orange-red skin. The flesh is bright orange, dense, very sweet, with a slight nutty aftertaste.
The variety is distinguished by uniform ripening, stable yields, and good storage life—the fruits keep well for several months. The Uchiki Kuri pumpkin is widely used in cooking: for soups, casseroles, purees, desserts, and baby food.
