The growing season from planting to technical maturity is 110–130 days. It is grown by sowing seeds for seedlings in February–March and transplanting them into open ground in April–May at the 5–6 leaf stage. Harvesting is carried out when a light yellow border appears on the leaves. Natural curing is used. The tobacco is fermented before use. This tobacco variety is distinguished by a distinctive, rich nutty flavor. Color ranges from light brown to mahogany, with a matte sheen. It is used in pipe blends.
