Vital Beet - a mid-season high-yielding variety; fruit ripening takes 128–145 days. The root is cylindrical in shape, dark red with a dark purple tint, 3.5–6 cm in diameter, with a slightly pointed tip, and is easily pulled out of the soil. The flesh is dark red, juicy, without white streaks, and very tasty. Root weight is 210–450 g. Excellent flavor. Yield is 3.8–5.7 kg/m2. Suitable for winter storage and processing. The crop is cold-hardy. Undemanding regarding soil. Transports well. When sown late (June 1–10), the roots store better in winter.
