Snowflake Lettuce - an early-maturing variety, reaching technical maturity in 20-25 days. Leaf lettuce. The plant is ornamental. The rosette has 12-18 leaves, is upright, compact, 30-35 cm tall, and 20-25 cm in diameter. Leaves are oval-elongated, spatulate, green-yellow; lower leaves are short-petiolate, tapering into the blade, 12–16 cm long and 10–18 cm wide. The margin is wavy, deeply toothed. The blade is corrugated. Total sugar content is 1.8–2.0%, vitamin C content is 18.6–18.8 mg%. Taste rating is 4.8–5 points. The leaves are used fresh. Cold-hardy crop. Yields a uniform harvest. Sown in early spring and before winter. Resistant to bolting and diseases. In moist, warmed soil, seedlings emerge on the 9th day after sowing. Sowing depth: 1–2 cm.
