King of the Market lettuce is a mid-season head lettuce variety. The leaves are tender, sweet, and buttery; the outer leaves are light green, and the inner leaves are creamy green. Recommended for summer cultivation in open ground. Resistant to bolting. A cold-hardy crop that thrives in light and moisture. The variety is distinguished by consistently high yields.
Growing conditions:
Sow in rows, planting seeds 1–2 cm deep. Plant in fertile, loose, neutral, well-tilled soil that has been fertilized in the fall. Optimal germination temperature is 15–22°C. To speed up the harvest in open ground, cover the crops with plastic film. Sprouts appear in 7–14 days. After a week, loosen the soil and weed; after another week, thin the plants. For continuous production, sowing at 15–20-day intervals is recommended.
