Rubin Radish Seeds, 2 g

Rubin Radish Seeds - an early-maturing variety with a growing season of 29–31 days from sowing to harvest. The variety was developed by the Ukrainian Research Institute of Vegetable and Melon Growing through mass and individual selection from a collection sample at the Nosovskaya Agricultural Station. The variety was regionalized in 1947. Yield: in various growing zones, from 1.0–1.4 to 1.2–2.3 kg/m².
The Rubin radish has a semi-erect rosette of leaves. The root is red-crimson in color, round or elliptical in shape, 3.8–4.2 cm long, with a smooth surface. The flesh is white or white-pink, firm, juicy, sweet, with a mildly pungent flavor, and prone to rapid softening. The roots are fully buried in the soil, weighing 11–28 g. Good flavor. In northern regions, the flowering rate of this radish variety reaches 32%. Ascorbic acid content up to 28.6 mg%. Rubin is one of the most common early radish varieties for greenhouse cultivation (along with the Saksa variety).
