F1 Matryoshka - an early-maturing, parthenocarpic, cluster-type gherkin hybrid with female flowering. Intended for cultivation in open and protected ground.
Characteristics:
- Cold-tolerant, light-loving (parthenocarpy increases under high light conditions), with good branching.
- Long fruiting period.
- 2–3 to 7–8 ovaries form at each node. Fruit set is continuous.
- Fruits are bumpy, white-spined, oval-cylindrical in shape, with moderate pubescence, 9–12 cm long, intense green in color with light longitudinal stripes.
- Flesh is firm and crisp; skin is tough.
- Pickling and taste qualities are very high.
Features: the hybrid is resistant to powdery mildew, olive spot, and common cucumber mosaic virus, and is tolerant to downy mildew.
Planting density: in greenhouses - 2.5 plants/m², in open ground - 3-4 plants/m².
