Cucumbers are grown either from seedlings or by sowing seeds directly into the ground. To produce seedlings, seeds are sown in seedling pots to a depth of about 1.5–2 cm and grown at a temperature of approximately 25°C. Once seedlings emerge, the temperature is lowered to 15°C. Remember that you can only transplant seedlings into the ground when you are completely sure there will be no freezing temperatures at night and the soil has warmed to at least 9–13 °C. The same soil temperature requirements apply when sowing seeds directly into the ground. In this case, the planting depth increases to 2–3 cm. Seedbeds should be covered with special materials, a wide selection of which is also available at the 7 Sottok store; this can be a special film or agrotextile.
During the growing season, up to three fertilizations are usually performed to ensure a high yield; you can select the necessary fertilizers in the corresponding section. Appropriate pesticides are used to control pests.
The Isid F1 cucumber crop is harvested as it ripens; this depends on the specific variety and climatic conditions.
