Vitamin Carrot - a mid-season, high-yielding variety with a growing season of 110–115 days to full maturity. The root is cylindrical in shape, with a blunt end, and 17–20 cm long. The variety is valued for its excellent taste and high carotene content. The flesh is orange-red, tender, juicy, and coreless. Yield is 5.6–7 kg/m2. Vitamin Carrot is used fresh, for processing, juicing, and storage. The crop is cold-hardy. It is not prone to cracking. It contains an elevated amount of carotene—up to 28 mg/%. In moist soil, seedlings emerge on the 20th–21st day after sowing.
