Scarla Carrot - a late-season Flaki-type carrot variety. It combines good flavor and long shelf life. One of the most productive, versatile, and adaptable varieties, suitable for fresh consumption as well as for processing, canning, and freezing. It is widely used in the culinary industry for preparing “Korean-style carrot salad” and other salads.
Characteristics:
- Root length: 20–22 cm, diameter: 4–6 cm.
- The flesh is a deep orange color, very juicy, sweet, and firm.
- Carrots with a high carotene content.
- The roots are large, cylindrical, uniform, even-shaped, with smooth skin and a pointed tip. The roots have a small core and a dark orange hue.
- The foliage is upright, sturdy, and dark green.
- High-yielding variety—100 t/ha. Resistant to bolting, not prone to cracking.
Features: resistant to diseases: Alternaria, downy mildew, and flowering. Sow in very moist soil and avoid overcrowding. Requires soil loosening, watering, and root-zone fertilization. Grows successfully in all regions of Ukraine.
