Moscow Winter Carrot - a mid-season variety; the growing season from the first emergence of leaves to technical maturity is 88–108 days. The root vegetable is elongated-conical in shape with a blunt end, weighing 80–130 g and 16 cm long, with an orange-red color. High carotene content. A variety with high yield and good storage life.
To obtain an early harvest, carrot seeds are sown in April in open ground. To obtain root crops intended for storage, seeds are sown in late May or June. It is also possible to sow before winter, in November–December, in frozen soil, using dry seeds. Sow in furrows 5 cm wide and 2–2.5 cm deep. Space the furrows 20 cm apart. Thin the plants when 1–2 true leaves appear; moderate and regular watering is required. Harvest the roots in late September.
