Alyonka Carrot - a mid-early variety; bunch maturity occurs 47–49 days after emergence, and market maturity 85–100 days after emergence. The roots are conical or blunt-conical in shape, 10–12 cm long, and 5–7 cm in diameter. The core is orange in color. The surface of the root vegetable is smooth and orange. The variety does not accumulate excess nitrates. It is valued for its excellent taste. It is a national standard of Ukraine.
Agricultural Practices:
To obtain an early harvest, carrot seeds are sown in open ground in early spring, in April. To produce root crops intended for storage, seeds are sown in late May or June. It is also possible to sow before winter, in November–December, in frozen soil using dry seeds. Sow in furrows 5 cm wide and 2–2.5 cm deep. Space the furrows 20 cm apart. When the plants develop 1–2 true leaves, thin them out; moderate and regular watering is required. Harvest the root crops in late September.
