Yalta Onion – a mid-late salad-type variety with large, sweet bulbs. The growing season lasts 130–150 days. The plant forms large, flat-round bulbs weighing 150–250 g with a dense purple-violet skin. The flesh is tender, juicy, white with a pinkish tint, sweet in taste, and practically without bitterness.

The variety is noted for its stable yield and good marketability, but is intended primarily for fresh consumption, as it does not have a long shelf life. Yalta onions are ideal for salads, side dishes, vegetable dishes, and culinary garnishes. Thanks to its unique sweet flavor, it is one of the most prized salad onions.
