"Lika" Cabbage - a late-maturing variety of Ukrainian selection, developed from the "Braunschweiger" pickling cabbage variety. The growing season is 160 days. The average head weight reaches 3.2 kg. The dense structure of the heads contributes to good storage life and transportability of the crop. Yields are high; up to 760 centners can be harvested per hectare, and for small areas, 7 kg of cabbage is harvested per 1 m². Storage life is up to 8 months, with all flavor characteristics preserved. The "Lika" variety is the gold standard for sauerkraut, as the fermented cabbage turns out crisp and delicious.

You can immediately recognize this variety in the field, as it has a very spreading rosette of leaves with a characteristic waxy coating. "Lika" late cabbage is grown by direct seeding of the seeds into the ground or by the seedling method. The plants are resistant to spring frosts and tolerate short-term drops in temperature very well. During the head-forming stage, the plants require constant watering.
