Full description
Kharkiv Winter Cabbage is a late-maturing, high-yielding variety of white cabbage that matures 150–160 days after mass emergence. It is one of the best late varieties of domestic selection. The heads are very dense, round-flat, green-white, resistant to cracking, white when cut open, with a medium-length inner stalk. Weight: 1.9–3.5 kg. Rosette height: 80–110 cm. The variety stores well during the winter, is relatively resistant to bacterial soft rot and spot necrosis during storage, does not crack, and is transportable. Relatively heat- and frost-tolerant.

High yield—up to 10–11 kg/m²—good density and excellent flavor of the heads, uniform ripening, and high marketability of the fruit are the undeniable advantages of this variety. Since the plants tolerate drought well, the variety is recommended for plots with insufficient moisture, as well as for gardeners who visit their plots irregularly.

The taste of both fresh and fermented products is excellent. The variety is suitable for fresh consumption, pickling, and winter storage. Heads can be stored for up to 6 months. Because the variety is frost-resistant, cabbage can be harvested in late fall without loss of quality.

It is grown from seedlings or by sowing seeds directly into the ground. Sow seeds 1.5–2 cm deep. Transplant seedlings at 45–50 days old. Requires fertile soil and responds well to fertilization. The optimal temperature for seed germination is 18–20 °C, and for plant growth, 12–18 °C. When planting, place in open, sunny, fertile areas. Planting pattern: 70 x 40 cm.

Seed weight per package: 1 g.
