Purple Parple Tippi bean seeds, 20 g

“Purple Tippi” - an early-maturing bush variety of purple asparagus beans. The growing season from germination to technical maturity is 55–65 days. The bush is low-growing, 25–40 cm tall, producing 14–16 pods 12–14 cm long, purple in color, without a parchment layer, and with excellent flavor.
The variety is resistant to many bean diseases—mosaic virus, anthracnose, and bacteriosis. It is used in home cooking, for freezing, and for canning. After heat treatment, the pods turn green.

Sowing seeds
Beans are a heat-loving plant; they prefer fertile, light soils and cannot tolerate shallow groundwater. The optimal planting time is late May to early June; it is not recommended to sow seeds at temperatures below +12°C.
Before sowing, keep the seeds in a damp cloth only until they begin to sprout; make sure the cotyledons do not open.

Seed sowing density
The planting pattern for bush varieties is 20x30 cm, and for climbing varieties, 30x40 cm. The sowing depth depends on soil conditions; 5–8 cm is usually sufficient.
Bush beans are usually grown in garden beds, with three to four rows and seeds sown in a staggered pattern. For climbing and semi-climbing bean varieties, it is necessary to install long stakes or trellises, specifically made of wood, since the bean tendrils cannot cling to metal.

Harvesting
Green bean pods are harvested when the seeds reach the size of a wheat kernel, every 3–4 days. For long-term storage, they must be frozen.
Grain beans are harvested when the pods turn yellow and begin to split open; the key is not to miss this moment, otherwise you’ll have to pick the beans off the ground.

Beans are a green manure crop; like other legumes, they enrich the soil with nitrogen through nodule-forming bacteria, which increases soil fertility.
