The Ethiopian melon is a mid-early variety with large, sweet fruits and a bright aroma. The growing season lasts 75–85 days. The plant is robust, with well-developed foliage, and produces round fruits weighing 3–5 kg. The rind is bright orange with a distinct net-like pattern. The flesh is thick, deep orange, very juicy, tender, with a honey-like flavor and high sugar content.
The variety is distinguished by stable yields, resistance to major diseases, and good transportability. The Yefiopka melon is suitable for fresh consumption, making desserts, fruit salads, and juices.
