Bereginya Melon ― a mid-season variety with a growing season of 80–90 days from germination to harvest. The fruits are spherical, medium-sized, and yellow-orange in color with a net-like pattern. The average fruit weight is 3–3.5 kg, with some reaching up to 5 kg. The flesh is white, thick, juicy, and has excellent flavor. The variety is transportable, stores well, and is resistant to bacterial spot. In northern regions, growing from seedlings is recommended.
Melons are heat-loving plants that tolerate drought well. Sowing in the ground begins when the soil warms to +12°C. Seeds are sown in wide rows. Seed spacing: 140 x 100 cm or 140 x 70 cm. For normal, steady growth of the Bereginya melon, the air temperature must reach 25–30°C.
The crop prefers sandy and chernozem loamy soils with a neutral pH, but the melons are not particularly demanding regarding soil conditions. The soil areas must be well-lit and warm.
