Sugar Baby Watermelon Seeds, 5 g

Sugar Baby can be grown in open ground, provided there is plenty of sun, or in a greenhouse. Since its vines reach 180 cm in length, trellises are recommended. This variety prefers light, fertile, well-drained soil and full sunlight; it is resistant to drafts. It is renowned for its high yield—up to 40 watermelons can be harvested from 30 m² of plantings.
Start planting seeds in late April or early May. To do this, prepare pots with loose, well-fertilized soil and place the seeds 1 cm deep. Maintain a temperature of 20–25 °C and optimal humidity. The seedlings should emerge in 5–7 days.
When the first leaves appear, transplant the seedlings into larger pots and leave them there for a few weeks. Once the threat of frost has passed, you can plant them in the open ground, spacing the plants 50–60 cm apart. Regular watering and fertilizing every 2 weeks are recommended.
You can harvest the crop in 75–85 days. Remember, a watermelon’s ripeness is determined by the sound it makes: if tapping it produces a hollow sound, as if the watermelon is empty inside, then it is ripe.
