Full description

Garden Var - used to heal wounds on fruit and ornamental trees caused by grafting and pruning, sunburn, and other injuries to the tree. It has bactericidal properties. The product is usually applied in early spring or late fall.

Active ingredients: petrolatum and pine resin

Advantages:

- Easy to apply and possesses sufficient stickiness, softness, and elasticity

- When heated by the sun, the product does not run off the area where it was applied and does not crack as the branch and trunk expand

- Protects tree wounds from infections and diseases. Prevents the penetration of bacteria, fungi, and insects

Application:

- Treatment of trees after injuries.

It is necessary to remove damaged, frozen, and rotten parts of the wood and bark down to the healthy part. Then, the wound is thoroughly cleaned, i.e., protruding sections of wood and parts of shoots—stumps—are removed. After that, apply the Garden Wax preparation. It must completely cover the damaged surface of the wound, preventing it from drying out and becoming infected, since at this point there is direct access for bacteria and spores of pathogenic fungi. The surface should be treated immediately after damage is detected, and the protective layer of wax should be renewed every spring.

- Treating trees with broken branches.

Remove the damaged parts using pruning shears or a saw. Then treat the cut surfaces with Sadovoy Var. Gardeners often apply yellow or brown paint to the damaged areas of the tree. However, not just any paint will do; it must contain natural linseed oil. Do not use paints containing mineral oils (kerosene, gasoline, etc.), as this will negatively affect the tree, leading to slow healing of the cuts and the formation of hollows.

Directions for use:

Garden Var is applied with a wooden spatula in a thin layer to the fresh cut on the tree. The sealant should be applied to a dry surface, preferably within the first 20–30 minutes, or within 24 hours after the cut was made. When sealing deep wounds, it is permissible to add a filler (chalk, dolomite, etc.) to the softened var.
