Full description
Proton 20 g - a two-component contact and systemic fungicide for controlling fungal infections in potatoes, cucumbers, grapes, and tomatoes.

Advantages:
  • has contact and systemic activity
  • exerts a lethal effect on pathogens at all stages
  • provides a long-lasting curative and preventive effect
  • highly effective against Peronosporaceae fungi
Active ingredient: 670 g/kg copper oxychloride + 130 g/kg oxadixyl.

Mode of action:
Copper oxychloride inhibits enzymes and vital components of phytopathogenic fungal cells. Oxadixyl rapidly penetrates leaves, is transported with plant sap to untreated parts of the plant, and inhibits RNA synthesis in pathogen cells.

Spectrum of activity:
Proton is used to control diseases caused by fungi of the Oomycetes subclass. It is well suited for protecting potatoes and tomatoes from late blight and macrosporiosis, and cucumbers from downy mildew (downy mildew). Rate of action: cymoxanil is rapidly absorbed and penetrates deeply into plant leaves (within approximately 2 hours), while copper oxychloride remains on the leaf surface.

Application timing:
spraying during the growing season: first treatment at the first signs of disease, followed by treatments at 7–10-day intervals depending on disease progression.

Duration of protective action
is 7–14 days depending on the severity of the infection. The preventive effect lasts 7–14 days, and the curative effect lasts 2–4 days after infection by the pathogens.

Phytotoxicity:
Proton is not phytotoxic when used in accordance with application guidelines.

Resistance:
Since the fungicide is a combination product with both contact and systemic action, the likelihood of resistance developing is extremely low.

Compatibility with other pesticides:
Proton is compatible with many pesticides that have a neutral or acidic reaction. It is well compatible with systemic fungicides such as metalaxyl, triadimefon, and others, with the exception of emulsion concentrates and thiuram-based products. It is not recommended to mix the fungicide with alkaline preparations and emulsion concentrates. Before use, check the mixture for compatibility and stability.

Directions for use:

Spraying during the growing season: First application at the first signs of disease, followed by subsequent applications at 7–10-day intervals depending on disease progression.
