Vita Longa Carrot — a mid-season variety, 80–90 days to maturity. The root vegetable is a distinct orange color, long, thick, conical in shape, with a slightly ribbed surface. Mature roots weigh 93 to 250 g and are 20–30 cm long. The flesh and core are orange. Yield is 4.5–6.8 kg/m². Yield growth is rapid from early September through October. The carrots are resistant to rot during storage. Vita Longa carrots are valued for their excellent taste, high juiciness, and balanced carotene and carbohydrate content. They are used for making juices and for winter storage.
