Mashenka granules, a time-tested and effective product, consist of small, free-flowing granules that are yellow, orange, or lilac in color. This insecticide is suitable for eliminating:
- cockroaches
- ants
- flies, etc.
INTENDED USE
The product is intended for the elimination of flies, cockroaches, ants (red, house, and various garden species), and other arthropods (crickets, woodlice, silverfish, earwigs) in various types of facilities: industrial and residential premises, food service and public utility establishments (hotels, dormitories, sports complexes), in healthcare facilities, in stores, warehouses, basements, food service and childcare facilities (except for bedrooms and playrooms), by organizations engaged in disinfection activities, and by the general public in their daily lives.
COMPOSITION
The product contains azametifos (0.4%) as the active ingredient—a highly active organophosphorus compound (OPC) with intestinal contact activity. The product also contains a stabilizer, bitrex, a preservative, binding and sweetening agents, and a filler.
BIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
The product exhibits acute insecticidal activity against flies, cockroaches, ants (house and garden), fleas, and other arthropods (crickets, woodlice, earwigs). Complete mortality occurs within a period ranging from several hours to 2 days. Residual activity persists for more than 1 month.
Based on acute toxicity parameters following a single oral administration and application to damaged skin, the product is classified as a Class 4 low-hazard substance according to GOST 12.1.007-76. It does not cause skin irritation upon single or repeated contact with the skin. If it comes into contact with the eyes, it causes mild irritation of the mucous membranes. No sensitizing effect has been established. Vapors of the product under conditions approaching saturation concentrations are low-hazard and are classified as Class 4 according to the Selection Criteria for Insecticidal Preparations. In terms of acute (greater than 100) biocidal activity in the form of vapors, the product is classified as a Class 4 low-hazard substance; in terms of subacute (greater than 10) biocidal effect under recommended application conditions, it is classified as a Class 4 low-hazard substance according to the Classification of the Degree of Hazard of Pest Control Products.
The maximum permissible concentration (MPC) of azametifos in the air of the work area is 0.5 mg/m³ (aerosol + vapors) – hazard class 3.
APPLICATION
To eliminate flies, place 25–75 g of granules on surfaces and position them in areas where flies congregate and are likely to land, but away from areas where food is prepared, as flies die within a few minutes of contact with the granules and may fall onto cutting boards, kitchen counters, or other surfaces.
To eliminate red cockroaches, place 25 g of granules on each bait station for small infestations and 50–75 g for large infestations, and position them in areas where cockroaches live, congregate, or move, at a rate of 3–5 bait stations per 10 m² room. The cockroaches die within 2–3 days. The pads should be replaced as they become soiled.
To eliminate red house ants in bathrooms, showers, and restrooms, place 12–25 g of granules on the pads or dissolve them in water and apply the resulting paste along the ants’ travel paths. The product remains effective for up to 2 months.
To eliminate garden ants in the foundations of houses, cottages, and garden sheds, in unoccupied storage areas and the surrounding areas, and on garden paths, scatter the granules into the cracks between tiles and other gathering spots, as well as along their trails, in dry, windless weather in the morning or evening, at a rate of 75 g per 10 m² of surface area.
To eliminate garden ants on porches, terraces, and in other areas, you can use either dry granules or dissolve them in water at the consumption rate specified above to form a thick paste, which can be applied along the threshold or around the perimeter of the porch.
The granules can be moistened with water to form a thick paste, which can be applied to window frames, hanging light fixtures, or used to treat windows in barns or animal stalls.
If woodlice, silverfish, earwigs, or other indoor arthropods (crickets) are present in bathrooms, boiler rooms, or other damp areas, spread the granules on surfaces at the minimum application rate (30–50 g/10 m²). Due to the high sensitivity of this type of arthropod to contact insecticides, they die when moving across the granules.
