3. The product appears as yellow granules. The shelf life of the insecticide, when stored under recommended conditions, is 3 years from the date of manufacture. Use of Fly Zero after the expiration date is prohibited.
4. The insecticide is available in 30 g, 50 g, 100 g, 250 g, and 500 g packages in plastic containers with screw-on lids.
5. Store the product in a dark, dry, and cool place, protected from direct sunlight, at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.
6. Keep the product out of the reach of children and pets.
7. Dispose of unused product and its working solution separately from household waste in designated areas, away from drinking water sources and bodies of water. II.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
8. Fly Zero is classified as an insecticide. Imidacloprid, a component of the product, is a neonicotinoid that acts on the central nervous system of insects, disrupting the transmission of nerve impulses. This results in paralysis and convulsions, leading to the death of the insects. The sex pheromone of muskoon flies (Z-9-tricosene), used as an attractant, draws insects to the bait or to surfaces treated with the insecticide. Sucrose encourages flies to readily consume the bait.
9. Fly Zero is classified as a low-hazard substance based on its effect on the body (Hazard Class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007-76).
III. APPLICATION PROCEDURE
10. Fly Zero is used for pest control in livestock facilities and other veterinary facilities to combat adult flies.
11. The product is applied to areas where insects congregate, both indoors and outdoors. Insect breeding sites should not be treated, as the product is effective only against adult insects.
12. Fly Zero is applied by placing baits, applying the solution to surfaces, or spraying the solution onto surfaces.
Use as a bait.
The product is placed on paper or in metal or plastic containers. Baits are placed in areas with the highest concentration of flies (near windows, doors, compost pits), out of reach of animals and children, at a rate of 1 bait per 10 m² of room area. Distribute the baits evenly throughout the room. The application rate is 10 g of product per 10 m² of floor space or 20 g of product per 20 m² of floor space. It is recommended to clean the baits of debris every 2–3 days; if this is not possible, the product must be replaced with a fresh one. The insecticidal effect lasts for 4 weeks.
Application with a brush to the surface.
This method of application yields the best results. Preparation of the working solution: Add 50 g of the product to 150 ml of warm water, let stand for 20 minutes, stir, and apply with a brush to surfaces (floors, walls, windows, doors, etc.) with a total area of 2.5–5.0 m²in 15–20 areas where flies congregate along the perimeter of a 100 m² room. The recommended treatment area per section is 0.03–0.25 m². Product consumption: Add 50 g of the product to 150 ml of water per 100 m² of room area, or 100 g of the product to 300 ml per 200 m². If there are no suitable surfaces for applying the mixture, and if there are wooden, plastered, or whitewashed surfaces, apply the solution to strips of cardboard or polyethylene tape and attach them to the walls or hang them from the ceiling. The insecticidal effect lasts for 4 weeks.
Application by spraying from a spray bottle.
Preparation of the solution: Dissolve 25 g of the product in 100 ml of warm water, let stand for 20 minutes, stir thoroughly, and spray onto surfaces (walls, windows, doors, etc.) using a spray bottle. Approximately 30% of the wall and ceiling surfaces should be directly sprayed. In pig barns, spray the wall surfaces at a height of at least 1.5 m above the floor, and on cattle farms—at a height of at least 2 meters. The prepared solution is sufficient to treat premises with a floor area of 100 m². Use the working solution within 7–8 hours. Application rate: Add 50 g of the product to 200 mL of water per 200 m² of floor area, or 100 g of the product to 400 mL of water per 400 m² of floor area. The insecticidal effect lasts for 4 weeks.
After treating the room, it must be ventilated for at least 24 hours.
13. Do not use Fly Zero in rooms where sick or newborn animals are kept.
14. Do not treat surfaces that will come into contact with food or animal feed, feeders, and waterers, as well as surfaces that animals may come into contact with.
15. When used and dosed correctly, no side effects are observed.
IV. PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS
16. Persons under 18 years of age and those with contraindications for working with chemicals are not permitted to work with Fly Zero. When preparing working solutions, avoid ingestion of Fly Zero and contact with the skin, eyes, and respiratory tract. All work with the insecticide and its solutions must be performed while wearing protective clothing (including rubber gloves, a protective mask, etc.). Smoking, drinking, and eating are prohibited during work. After finishing work, wash your hands and face with soap and water and rinse your mouth. If Fly Zero comes into contact with the skin, rinse it off with plenty of soap and water. If swallowed, drink several glasses of water with 10–15 activated charcoal tablets. Do not induce vomiting. If the insecticide gets into the eyes, rinse them immediately with water and seek medical attention as soon as possible. If signs of poisoning appear (dizziness, nausea, weakness), seek medical attention immediately and show the product label. Do not use the product container for food purposes; it must be disposed of with household waste.
