Full description
Calcium nitrate (calcium nitrate) — a unique combination of nitrate nitrogen and fully water-soluble calcium — offers significant agrochemical advantages and properties not found in other fertilizers. Root and foliar applications of calcium nitrate on fruit and berry crops improve the NCa ratio, which determines the quality of the harvest during storage and transportation. The fertilizer contains: Ca(NO₃)₂ - 98%. It dissolves well in water and is easily absorbed by plants.
A calcium deficiency in plants manifests as weakened root system development; root hairs cease to form on the roots, through which the plant receives the bulk of nutrients and water from the soil.
When calcium is deficient, the roots become slimy and rot, chlorosis appears on the leaves, and stem growth stops.
In acidic soils, adding calcium eliminates excess iron and manganese. Calcium promotes better nitrogen uptake by plants.
Calcium nitrate also prevents the development of blossom end rot in tomatoes, leaf burn in lettuce, and other diseases associated with calcium deficiency.

It is best to apply it to the soil as a liquid fertilizer.

Root fertilization:
  • strawberries (before flowering) – solution concentration 1.5–3.0 g/L (25 g packet per 8–15 L of water) 1–2 times;
  • vegetables and ornamental plants – 1.5–2.5 g/L (one packet per 10–15 L of water) before flowering, at 10–15-day intervals;
  • Fruit trees in spring before bud break: 2.5 g/L (one 25-g packet per 10 L of water) per 1 m² of the tree’s root zone.
For foliar feeding, use a 1.5–2.5% solution; the application rate depends on the crop type and vegetative mass:
  • vegetables, flowers, and strawberries – 1.0–1.5 L/10 m²;
  • shrubs – 1.5–2 L per bush; fruit trees – 2 to 8 L per tree.
Calcium nitrate must not be mixed with simple superphosphate; it can be mixed with other fertilizers before application to the soil.
