Full description

Ivory Plus, 10 ml - an acidifier (pH adjuster) and water conditioner. It is used in the preparation of working solutions of fertilizers, plant protection products (PPPs), and other formulations for spraying crops with PPPs and for foliar feeding.

ADVANTAGES AND PROPERTIES:

  • lowers and controls the pH level and improves the water quality of the working solution during foliar feeding of crops and their spraying with PPPs;
  • prevents alkaline hydrolysis (degradation of the active ingredient)of plant protection products, microfertilizer chelates, and other preparations;
  • increases the solubility of fertilizers and plant protection products in the working solution and improves their effectiveness;
  • reduces excessive water hardness and allows it to be used for preparing working solutions of fertilizers, plant protection products, and other preparations in low-quality water;
  • improves the biological activity of microfertilizers and enhances their synergistic effect on crops;
  • has a stimulating and anti-stress effect on crops;
  • is highly eco-friendly and offers a high return on investment.

COMPATIBILITY:

Compatible with all plant protection products except those containing copper (including Bordeaux mixture, copper oxide, basic copper sulfate, and copper hydroxide) and lime.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

Ivory Plus acidifies and softens the working solution water thanks to its unique composition. The organic acids and chelating agents (complexing agents) in Ivory Plus complex calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), iron (Fe), and sodium (Na) cations into organic-mineral water-soluble complexates that are easily absorbed by crops. Ivory Plus complexants form complexes across a wide pH range, both in acidic and strongly acidic environments. Additionally, they exhibit high complex stability with alkali (Na+) and alkaline earth metals (Ca2+, Mg+).

SPECTRUM OF ACTION:

Ivory may be used in all types of working solutions, on all crops, and combined in a single solution with plant protection products, fertilizers, and crop growth stimulants, except for products containing sulfonylurea. Sulfonylureas require an alkaline environment (pH greater than 7).

APPLICATION RATE:

The recommended dosage range for Ivory Plus as a pH corrector is 10–30 ml per 10 L of working solution, depending on the water’s pH level. The recommended and most commonly used dosage for Ivory Plus acidifier is 100–140 ml per 10 L of working solution.

Ivory Plus is recommended for use in combination with fertilizers and plant protection products when preparing a working solution from water with very high hardness (over 8 mg-eq/L).

GENERAL INFORMATION:

The water used to prepare tank mixtures is particularly hard and contains large amounts of calcium and magnesium ions. Their presence in the working solution can lead to a deterioration in the quality of the tank mix and the formation of poorly soluble compounds, especially when using Avangard Silicon Bio fertilizers of grades A and B, which contain salts of meta- and orthosilicic acid. When using Ivory Plus, which is added to the tank mix, water-soluble organometallic complexates of calcium and magnesium are formed, serving as additional mineral nutrition for crops. Complexates of calcium, magnesium, and other cations also help stabilize the tank mix. Ivory Plus prevents the alkaline hydrolysis of active ingredients in plant protection products, Avangard brand fertilizers, growth stimulants, and other preparations, and prevents the formation of insoluble compounds with fertilizers that damage sprayer equipment.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR DETERMININGTHE APPLICATIONRATE:

It is recommended to first determine the application rate of Ivory Plus in a small volume of water (1 L). Pour 0.9 L of water into a container, then use a measuring cylinder (glass, medical syringe) to add Ivory Plus in small doses (starting with 0.4 mL) until the working solution turns light yellow. Top up with water to the full volume and determine the application rate per 1 L. Then calculate the application rate of Ivory Plus for a working solution volume of 100 L and for the entire volume of the sprayer tank.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PREPARING THE WORKING SOLUTION:

Fill the sprayer tank (container) 2/3 full with water. While continuously stirring the water, sequentially add the following to the working solution: Ivory Plus at the specified application rate, then Avangard Silicon Bio microfertilizers (types A and B), Avangard Start, fertilizers of the Avangard TM brand, plant protection products, and a growth stimulator according to the manufacturer’s recommendations, then the urea-ammonium mixture (UAM), and lastly—urea or other products. Top up with water to full capacity. When using Ivory Plus, the working solution must be clear, free of sediment, separation, or clumps. After that, proceed to spray the crops with the working solution. Spraying is best done in the evening or early morning at a temperature of 10–30 °C and a wind speed of 5 m/s. Do not apply at excessively low or high air temperatures, or during intense sunlight and gusty winds. When mixing Ivory Plus, slight cloudiness may occur. Pay attention to water quality when preparing the working solution and follow the recommendations for its preparation.
