Mode of action
Belongs to the class of neonicotinoids. Blocks the transmission of nerve impulses in the bodies of insect pests. Acts similarly to acute contact and stomach poisoning, but in the gaseous phase. Thanks to its translaminar properties, it is rapidly absorbed by the plant and quickly distributed to the most distant growth points, protecting the entire plant. Due to its fundamentally new mode of action, Aktor, 25% w.g., is used against pest strains resistant to other classes of insecticides.
Application Guidelines
Do not use at low or high temperatures, as insects are under stress, which may affect the product’s efficacy. The quality of plant coverage with the working solution during spraying is a prerequisite for the product’s high efficacy. Compatible in tank mixtures with most insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides. However, in each specific case, products should be tested for compatibility. If Aktor, 25% w.g., is used in a tank mix with other pesticides, the sprayer should be filled with the products in the following order: Aktor, 25% w.g. → suspension concentrate (SC) → emulsion concentrate (EC). Insects stop feeding 30 minutes after the insecticide is applied; complete pest mortality occurs within 24 hours. Spray in the evening or morning hours when wind speeds are up to 4–5 m/s. Adjust the nozzles to a medium or fine droplet size.
