Aktarofit, 250 ml – a new biotechnological contact insecticide and acaricide for controlling pests on agricultural, ornamental, forest, and fruit and berry crops.

Aktarofit is an effective remedy for controlling the Colorado potato beetle, aphids, thrips, cabbage loopers, cutworms, fruit borers, mites, codling moths, leafminers, and other pests.

Active ingredient: The active component of the product is a complex of natural avermectins produced by the beneficial soil fungus Streptomyces avermitilis—a complex of avermectins from groups B1 and B2, at a concentration of 0.2%.

Avermectins are natural, specific neurotoxins that enter the insect’s body via the digestive tract or by contact and irreversibly damage their nervous system.

Main advantages of the product:

• Pests cease feeding within 6–8 hours for leaf-feeding pests and within 12–16 hours for sucking pests.

• Mass mortality of pests occurs 2–3 days after treatment, with maximum effect observed on days 5–7.

• The ability of avermectins to break down quickly in the environment prevents their accumulation in fruits, vegetables, and soil.

• The product’s protective effect lasts up to 10–20 days.

Application notes:

The product is applied as pests appear. Any type of sprayer that provides fine atomization and uniform application of the working mixture to the surface of leaves and stems may be used for application. It is advisable to spray crops or plantings with Aktarofit in dry, clear, windless weather with a low probability of precipitation over the next 8–10 hours.

The optimal temperature for applying the biological product is +18°C and above.

Treatment is not recommended during dew formation or in hot, sunny weather, as this reduces the product’s effectiveness.

The first signs of the product’s action—cessation of feeding—can be observed 6–8 hours after application when controlling leaf-feeding pests and 12–16 hours after application against sucking pests. Mass mortality of pests occurs 2–3 days after treatment, and maximum effectiveness is achieved on the 5th–7th day. Under favorable conditions, the product’s protective effect lasts up to 7–20 days.

Aktarofit is non-toxic at regulated rates to aphids, spiders, predatory bugs, parasitic lepidoptera, ants, ground beetles, earthworms, and others.

The product can be applied during the harvest period on vegetable and fruit and berry crops. The final application may be carried out 48 hours before harvest.
