Apple Celery Root - an early-maturing variety with a maturity period of 140–155 days. The roots are round, weighing 80–142 g. The flesh is white, with few lateral roots. The roots can be used for forcing greens in greenhouses during the winter. Yield: 1.5–3 kg/m². The leaves and roots are used as a seasoning in soups and salads, as well as for canning.

Cultivation:
Celery is grown from seedlings. Seeds are sown in late February to early March. A key feature of celery seeds is that they should not be covered deeply with soil; they must remain on the surface in bright light, especially for 3–7 days during the germination period. Sprouts should appear in 1–1.5 weeks. Water carefully; a spray bottle can be used. It is best to cover the seedling tray with glass or plastic wrap. At 60 days old—the five-true-leaf stage—the seedlings are ready for transplanting. It is best to transplant the seedlings to their permanent location after May 15 (May 20–25), as if they are exposed to frost, some plants will bolt, and the roots will become inedible (small and fibrous). Planting pattern: 60 x 30 cm. Further care consists of regular watering, fertilizing, and loosening the soil. Harvest the celery before the onset of sustained frosts.
