Stuttgarter Riesen onion is a mid-early, high-yielding variety with excellent flavor. The growing season lasts 100–110 days. The plant produces large, uniform bulbs of a rounded-flattened shape, weighing 120–250 g. The skin is dense and golden-yellow in color; the flesh is white, juicy, and has a semi-sharp flavor.
The variety is noted for its stable yield, resistance to bolting, and good transportability. Stuttgarter Riesen onions store well in winter, retaining their firmness and flavor.
