Pierrot spring onion — a mid-season variety with a maturation period of 105–110 days. A perennial plant, grown for greens in salads. The leaves are juicy and tender, and do not become tough. The flavor is semi-sharp. Yield is 1.2–2.6 kg/m². Suitable for year-round cultivation, both in shade and in full sun; tolerates drought well. Foliage regrows in early spring after the snow melts. A source of early-season vitamins. Fresh leaves are used as greens.
