Onyx zucchini is a high-yielding, early-maturing variety with a growing season of about 45–50 days. The plant is bush-type, compact, and produces fruit in clusters, allowing for a harvest as early as the beginning of summer. The fruits are elongated-cylindrical, uniform, dark green with a sheen, weighing 500–700 g. The flesh is light, tender, juicy, and has a pleasant taste.
The Onyx zucchini is ideal for versatile use. Young fruits are delicious when eaten fresh and are used for stewing, frying, stuffing, and baking. Thanks to the dense structure of the flesh, the vegetable retains its shape well during cooking and canning.
The variety is distinguished by stable yields, resistance to major zucchini diseases, and undemanding cultivation. It is excellent for both home gardens and commercial farming.
