Bereginya Melon — a mid-season variety with a growing season of 80–90 days from germination to harvest. Average fruit weight is 3–3.5 kg, with some reaching up to 5 kg. The fruits are spherical, medium-sized, yellow-orange in color with a net-like pattern. The flesh is white, thick, juicy, and has excellent flavor. The variety is transportable, stores well, and is resistant to bacterial spot. In northern regions, growing from seedlings is recommended.
Agricultural techniques. Melon is a heat-loving plant, but it tolerates drought well. Sowing begins when the soil warms to +12°C. Seeds are sown in wide rows. The sowing pattern is 140x100 or 140x70 cm. For normal, steady growth, the air temperature must reach 25–30°C.
The crop prefers sandy and chernozem loamy soils with a neutral pH, but melons are not particularly demanding regarding soil type. The soil must be well-lit and warm.
