Seeds of the Mironovskaya variety of Sudan grass, a high-yielding, drought-resistant crop—one of the most valuable forage crops, whose main advantages are high drought resistance, the ability to regrow quickly after mowing, and excellent forage quality. Under favorable conditions, it yields up to four cuttings per season.

Mironovskaya Sudan grass has proven itself to be excellent for sowing in forest and forest-steppe regions in southern Ukraine.

The stem of Sudan grass is erect, reaching a height of up to 300 cm, glabrous, and heavily branched at the base. The leaves are lanceolate, 50–60 cm long and 4–4.5 cm wide. The panicle is elongated and pyramidal in shape, reaching a length of 20–60 cm.

Mironovskaya 10 Sudan grass is a heat-loving variety. Sowing begins when the soil temperature at a depth of 10 cm reaches 10–12°C. The seeding rate in dry steppe and semi-desert zones is 10–14 kg/ha, and in the forest-steppe zone, up to 20–25 kg/ha. Mironovskaya grass responds very well to the application of mineral fertilizers: nitrogen and phosphorus—30–45 kg each; potassium—20–30 kg of active ingredient per hectare. When agrotechnical standards are followed, hay yield is 6.8–9.7 t/ha.
