Komandor Beet – mid-season variety – 125–130 days. High-yielding. The root vegetable is cylindrical in shape, easy to pull out, weighing 180–340 g, without a core. The flesh is dark red with a burgundy tint, without white streaks, juicy, tender, and sweet. Yield: 4.1–4.6 kg/m². Suitable for winter storage and processing. The crop is relatively heat-tolerant. The variety is disease-resistant. The roots store well throughout the winter without losing their taste or market quality. When sown late (June 1–10), roots are produced that store better in winter.
Soil temperature for seed germination must not be lower than 5 °C.
