Tarragon YANICHAR (Tarragon)
Tarragon YANICHAR is a perennial, tall herb with a rich aroma and valuable nutritional properties. It grows in the open ground in one spot for up to 5–15 years.
The plant is winter-hardy, but light winter protection is recommended for reliable survival. Leaves and young shoots with buds are harvested during the period of maximum essential oil concentration—these are responsible for tarragon’s spicy aroma.
The leaves contain vitamins A and C. It is used as a seasoning for meat, fish, and vegetable dishes, as well as in canning and beverage preparation.
Cultivation: seeds are sown in early spring in a greenhouse for seedlings. Plants require regular watering, weeding, loosening, and fertilizing.
Soil temperature for seed germination—not lower than 10°C.
