Nizhynsky Cucumber (mid-late, for pickling)
The Nizhynsky Cucumber is a time-tested mid-late variety of the bee-pollinated type. It takes 48–65 days from emergence to the start of fruiting.
The plant is robust, forming a sturdy stem and attractive foliage. The fruits are 9–13 cm long, deep green in color, with large bumps, and weigh about 100 g. They are noted for their pleasant, rich flavor.
The variety is resistant to major diseases, including bacterial spot and olive spot. It grows well in open ground with regular care: watering, weeding, and fertilizing.
Purpose: one of the best varieties for pickling and canning. Also suitable for fresh consumption (salads, etc.).
