Minicorn corn is an early-maturing variety grown for its young ears. The growing season lasts 65–70 days. The plant forms sturdy stalks 150–170 cm tall, bearing a large number of small ears 8–12 cm long. They are harvested in the early stages, when the kernels are still tender and milky.
The variety is noted for its high yield, uniform ripening, and resistance to major diseases. Minicorn corn is widely used in cooking: young ears are pickled, canned, grilled, and added to salads and hot dishes.
