Rotonda Eggplant – a mid-season Italian variety with unusual round fruits. The growing season lasts 110–120 days. The plant is compact, 60–80 cm tall, forming sturdy bushes with abundant fruit set. The fruits are round, weighing 250–400 g, with a glossy dark purple skin and light stripes. The flesh is white, firm, without bitterness, and has a pleasant, delicate flavor.
The variety is noted for its stable yield, resistance to major diseases, and good marketability. The Rotonda eggplant is suitable for frying, stewing, baking, stuffing, and canning. Thanks to its unique shape and delicate flavor, the fruit is particularly prized in cooking and at the market
