Full description
Zolotinka zucchini is a mid-season variety, with 47–55 days from first emergence to harvest. The fruit is yellow-orange, 10–12 cm long, cylindrical, slender, and weighs 300–400 g. The color is retained even when canned. The flesh is light orange, firm, and juicy. Dry matter content is 8–8.4%, sugars 3.5–4.2%, and vitamin C 9.3 mg%. Excellent taste. The variety is relatively resistant to powdery mildew.

Light, fertile soils with a low water table are most suitable for growing Zolotinka zucchini; it does not tolerate acidic soils. The best preceding crops are early vegetables, onions, root vegetables, tomatoes, and potatoes. Before planting, the plot is dug over and fertilized with organic and mineral fertilizers, as well as ash; if necessary, it is limed. Seeds are sown in late May to early June after the spring frosts have passed. Seeds are sown in holes, 2–3 per hole. The distance between holes is at least 60 cm. After seedlings emerge, weak plants are carefully removed. Further care consists of regular watering, loosening the soil, hilling, and fertilizing. Harvest the fruit regularly every 2–3 days, preventing them from overripening. Zucchini can be grown from seedlings. Seeds are sown for seedlings in early May; seedlings are transplanted into open ground in early June when they have 2–4 leaves.

Seed weight per package: 500 g.
