Metaldehyde 15 g - A product for controlling slugs on vegetable, fruit, citrus, and flower crops, berry bushes, grapes, and tobacco.

Application rate: 15 g per 5 m².

Metaldehyde is available in cylindrical granules. Each granule is 3 mm in diameter and 5 to 12 mm in height. The granules are produced in blue, green, or pink colors. Each granule contains 5% metaldehyde, kaolin, wheat bran, and other additives. The granules do not dissolve immediately in water, are rain-resistant, and remain effective for up to three weeks.
It is mainly used for intestinal and contact action against snails and garden slugs. It is very effective against young slugs, especially in warm, dry weather. It is applied by band-spraying in row spaces, edge strips, and paths, or by scattering the granules on the soil surface in areas where slugs breed and hide. It acts as a ready-to-use bait. Since slugs damage plants in the evening, at dusk, and at night, control measures should begin in the evening or early in the morning on the dry leaves of bushes. Upon contact with the "Metaldehyde" product, slugs secrete a fairly large amount of mucus, then become immobile, and dry out within 48 hours. To increase the product’s lethality, it is advisable to place the bait granules under all plants and in their shelters. In this case, slugs entering the shelter come into contact with the granules and are killed even during the day.

Since the duration of Metaldehyde’s effectiveness is limited to 20 days, slug control can be repeated if necessary, but no later than three weeks before harvest.

The average application rate for the granules is 4 grams per 1 m².

The maximum number of permitted treatments is two.
