A contact insecticide, used primarily in greenhouse operations to control a wide range of insect pests. The product contains the active ingredient buprofezin at 250 g/kg. Buprofezin acts during molting: This product works by inhibiting the synthesis of insect chitin. The insect cannot shed its exoskeleton and dies. The product destroys insect larvae during reproduction and reduces the population size of the next generation of pests. Eggs laid by adult insects become non-viable. Aplaud begins to take effect within 48 hours after application. The insecticide’s duration of action is 25 days. Aplaud is effectively used to protect flower crops, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, cabbage, carrots, currants, raspberries, strawberries, gooseberries, and peaches from whiteflies, California scale, mites, whiteflies, aphids, thrips, mites, long-nosed scale, leafminers, and fruit moths.

Dilute the contents of the package (6 g of the product) in 10 L of water. If pest infestation is high, use 6 g per 8 L of water. Spray plants with a freshly prepared solution when pests appear, in dry, windless weather, evenly wetting the leaves.
