WALTER, 25 g

Combined systemic and contact fungicide

Purpose: For the protection of vegetable (tomatoes) and industrial (potatoes) crops against a range of diseases:

• Late blight
• Alternaria leaf spot
• Downy mildew

Active ingredient:

• Mancozeb – 640 g/kg
• Metalaxyl – 80 g/kg

Mode of action

Metalaxyl (systemic component):

• Rapidly absorbed and distributed within the plant
• Inhibits the spread of the disease
• Protects new growth from infection
• Kills the pathogen after it has penetrated the plant
• Moves within the plant, protecting new stems and leaves.

Mancozeb (contact component):

• Creates a protective film on the plant surface.
• Prevents the penetration of spores and the germination of new fungal conidia
• Blocks cellular metabolism and sporulation processes
• Stops the spread of infection

Recommendations for use

Treatment schedule

Treatment time:

• Spray plants before the disease begins to spread
• Treatment after plants are infected reduces the protective effect.

Number of treatments:

• No more than three treatments with Walter, ZP per season
• If necessary, perform the next spraying with a fungicide having a different mode of action after 7–10 days

Last spraying:

• Before the end of active stem growth
• Immediately after the end of flowering in potatoes and tomatoes

Safety precautions

• Pre-harvest interval: 14 days
• Time limits for people to enter treated areas:
  • For manual work: 7 days
  • For mechanized work: 3 days
