Mikal, 30 g, fungicide for protecting grapes and nightshade crops

The systemic fungicide Mikal is designed to protect vegetable crops from a range of the most common fungal diseases. This product is applied by spraying crops grown in open fields during the growing season, both preventively and upon the appearance of the first symptoms of disease. The combination of the two main components of the Mikal fungicide—folpet and fosetyl aluminum—provides a high level of protection and eliminates the risk of resistant strains of fungal pathogens developing. The mechanism of action of folpet lies in its ability to block the activity of certain enzymes in fungal cells, which disrupts their normal metabolism. Fosetyl aluminum activates and enhances the plant’s defense mechanisms. When attacked by fungal pathogens, the plant begins to produce phenolic compounds that are toxic to the fungus. These compounds accumulate and prevent the fungus from penetrating plant cells. A distinctive feature of the fungicide Mikal is its high fungicidal protection when treating grapes against downy mildew, powdery mildew, oidium, and gray mold; potatoes, tomatoes, and other solanaceous crops against late blight; and onions against downy mildew.
