Acidan, wettable powder, 25 g - a two-component contact and systemic fungicide for protecting grapevines, potatoes, cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions against late blight and other diseases; it has both preventive and curative effects.

Active ingredients: mancozeb, 640 g/kg; metalaxyl, 80 g/kg.

Properties and benefits:
  • A combination fungicide that provides reliable, high-level protection against the pathogens causing downy mildew, black spot on grapes, and peronosporosis, late blight, macrosporiosis, alternariosis, and anthracnose on vegetable crops.
  • The presence of two active ingredients belonging to different chemical groups and having different modes of action prevents the development of resistant populations of phytopathogenic fungi.
  • It possesses an effective mode of action against pathogenic fungi that become particularly aggressive under conditions of high soil moisture.
  • The product’s special formulation ensures high adhesion, preventing it from being washed off treated plant surfaces by precipitation.
  • Reduces plant damage and promotes recovery.
  • It is used both preventively (to prevent widespread outbreaks) and during widespread disease outbreaks (it has curative properties).
  • When used according to instructions, it is not phytotoxic.
  • The product is a key component of an anti-resistance strategy.
Duration of protective action (product efficacy): 10 to 14 days.

Mode of action:
Metalaxyl inhibits nucleic acid synthesis in fungi. Thanks to its systemic properties, the product rapidly penetrates the plant through the leaves and stems, moving acropetally; it is capable of curing the plant in the early stages of infection and protecting it thereafter. Mancozeb destroys the conidial sporulation of phytopathogenic fungi. The mechanism of action involves the active ingredient inhibiting metabolism within fungal cells. Mancozeb also acts as a protective barrier that prevents pathogens from penetrating plant tissues.

WHO Classification: Class III (low toxicity).

Maximum number of treatments per season: 3.

Application: Dissolve the packet in water according to the rates specified in the table. Spray only with a freshly prepared solution in the morning or evening, in calm weather.

Precautions: Store in the original packaging, separate from food, beverages, and animal feed. Keep out of reach of children, unauthorized persons, and animals. Store at temperatures between 0 and 35 °C. Do not eat, drink, or smoke while working. Use personal protective equipment. Wash hands and face with soap after work.
First aid: If the product comes into contact with the skin: remove contaminated clothing and thoroughly wash contaminated areas of the body with soap and water. If swallowed, take activated charcoal several times and seek medical attention; provide the doctor with the product label.
Container and product disposal: Collect spilled product and bury it in a designated area; burn the container.

Shelf life: 3 years from the date of manufacture.
